Can Paparazzi Consultants Sell Jewelry for Less Than Five Dollars?

After the initial product or inventory is purchased, no product can be resold or retailed for less than the suggested retail price (no product under $5 USD). This includes, but is not limited to, offering or advertising free items through buy X, get X promotions or giving free gifts with a purchase. This same policy applies whether the free promotional item being offered is a Paparazzi product or a product not carried in Paparazzi’s inventory.

Offering or advertising these types of promotions lowers the retail price of each piece sold below the required $5 USD minimum. Doing so compromises the entire Paparazzi program for all Consultants. Any promotion of a Consultant’s independent business or the Paparazzi opportunity through any channel of communication (public or private) is considered advertising.

On rare occasions and with prior written approval by an official Paparazzi officer, a consultant may request to sell items at more than the $5.00 recommended retail price. Any exceptions to this policy must be authorized by an official Paparazzi officer in writing prior to the sale or event.

Thinking about selling on PoshMark?  There are a lot of sellers on PoshMark selling Paparazzi Jewelry.  As a consultant I always am concerned about violating policy.  Regardless of whether or not selling on PoshMark is policy compliant it is just too expensive.  The commission is 20 percent.  If you sell a $5 dollar item you have to pay them $2.95!!!!  That is nutso!  As a consultant I recommend that you shop around.  There are store hosting sites that offer so much more control at a fraction of the cost.  Here are the fees straight out of the PoshMark FAQ section.
