Human Tooth Jewelry?

At the Neolithic site of ÇatalhöyĂĽk in Turkey, three human teeth dating back to 6500 BC. have been drilled and appear to have been worn as adornments!  This story was posted on Forbes.com by Kristina Killgrove.   The question is whether or not the teeth were extracted from the living or the dead.       Read on . . . I searched my inventory and all I could find that was close was this necklace Photo credit - Scott Hadow University of Copenhagen

Seven Closet Organizing Steps to Getting Dressed Faster

Follow these seven closet de- cluttering guidelines right now to making getting dressed every day a little bit easier.  Photo credit Michael Wiltbank For many, mornings are a mad rush helping everyone else get ready leaving you little time to get out the door. Even the early birds and planners who dream about fitting in an early-morning workout, a meditation session, meal prep, and cleaning all before they leave for work rarely get to everything on their to-do lists. Whether your goal is to accomplish as much as possible before your kids wake up or simply to snooze 15 minutes longer, there's one way to find more minutes in the morning. The secret? Organize your closet to streamline your morning routine. Stop hunting for lost socks, trying on multiple outfits, and sifting through that growing pile of shoes.  1. How to pack jewelry when traveling

With the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing you probably wont be traveling anytime soon, the day will soon come however when your life returns to some sense of normalcy.  Picture this:  You reach your travel destination looking forward to going out for dinner.  The last thing you want to do is to untangle the necklace you want to wear from a giant, gold-and-silver ball.  The Solution?  A very chic jewelry case. Jewelry cases are similar to cosmetic pouches except they often feature separate bars for rings and earrings. Most are lined with a fabric like suede or velour, which saves the accessories from scratches and keeps them clean and shiny.

The Second Largest Diamond In the World

Newswire: Harpers Bazaar by Sarah Karmali This is an excerpt from Harpers Bazaar Magazine online The SewelĂ´ diamond is roughly the size of a tennis ball, measuring 83mm x 62mm x 46mm, and weighing 352 grams, and is estimated to be around 2 billion years old. Remarkably, the diamond was unharmed during the extraction process thanks to the mine's state-of-the-art technology. Some of the Largest Diamonds In the World!

Did you Know?  Most natural diamonds have ages between 1 billion and 3.5 billion years. Most were formed at depths between 150 and 250 kilometres (93 and 155 mi) in the Earth's mantle.  Under high pressure and temperature, carbon-containing fluids dissolved minerals and replaced them with diamonds. Much more recently (tens to hundreds of million years ago), they were carried to the surface in volcanic eruptions and deposited in igneous rocks known as kimberlites and lamproites.  Source:  Wikipedia Enjoy!  -  Trish
